New 28mm Mexican Cavalry of the Maximilian Adventure (1861-1867)

The upcoming release should please all those gamers who have been requesting that we ad Mexican Cavalry to our Maximilian range. We thought it would be a good idea to give you a taster of what is coming.

All the figures come with campaign laden horses have saddle rolls, saddle bags and lariats all cast separately giving them terrific detail and satisfying bulk. The irregular cavalry are mounted on smaller horses as per their historic counterparts and this helps add to the slightly rough and ready appearance of these units.

Regular Mexican Cavalry Trumpeter

The regular Cavalry all wear the standardized uniform of 1857; Steel grey trimmed in green with shako and pompom. Although sources do also give accounts of blue coated cavalry and greater or lesser amounts of trim.

Irregular Mexican Cavalry Lancer

The lance wielding irregular cavalry tended to dress more like rancheros rather than white shirted peons and their attire would depend more on personal wealth and looting ability. So plenty of flash with these chaps.

We will keep you posted as to when these and their compadres are available. So watch this space.

Of 28mm Robots, Generals and Salute 2016

This month sees additions to our huge 28mm Garibaldi range and the beginnings of an exciting new Sci-Fi range of Robots and Androids again in 28mm.

The Garibaldi range sees Neapolitan Generals, both on foot and horseback, along with their aide de camps added. A lovely vignette centerpiece for your army can be created by using all of the new miniatures.

The first part of  the all new Robot and Android range includes a Fem-Bot, War-Bot with Heavy Laser Rifle and a rather vicious looking K-9 unit.

We will of course be attending Salute 2016 at London Excel on April 16th where you can come a meet the team for a chat and check out our latest miniatures in person.

New 28mm Wargame Figures from Gringo 40's for 2016

The start of 2016 sees more than 20 new additions to our Italian Wars of Independence range.
Including a 4 lb canon and a beautifully detailed Sicilian cart with driver and a rather obstinate mule.

The Garibaldini get a new drummer to beat them into battle as well as infantry in kepi and mantle in various poses.

With the new Piccoitti there has been some serious alchemy taking place at the Gringo’s melting pot. As it is clear that not only has quality white metal been used in the Piccoitti minis but there seems to have been a liberal dash of Jack Vettriano and Good Fella’s flair gone into the brew as well. Which has created these very evocative and atmospheric 28mm figures. These Uomo d'Onore are definitely Made Men that you would not want to cross.
